It’s been a couple of months since our big day, we’ve had an enjoyable trip to both Bath and more recently Rome to celebrate our marriage.

It’s been over a week since the Big Day already! Doesn’t time fly by! As this is the first post to this little blog since the wedding, we’d like to say thanks to everyone who was there and to those who couldn’t be there but sent kind messages to us. We really do appreciate it!

If you took any photographs be it by mobile phone, compact camera or whatever; we’d be ever-so grateful for original copies. I’m putting together a restricted Flickr album compiling as many photos as possible – it makes for an interesting slideshow seeing the different perspectives in one album. If you want to view the album, you will need your own Flickr account. It’s free to signup and you can use your Facebook or Google account to make things easier. By sending me your Flickr username I can add you as a contact and permit access to the album. Sorry, but without an account you will be unable to view this specific album.

Should you want to send us your photographs, please feel free to email them to any of our usual email addresses. If you prefer to post them, please send copies on a CD but don’t post original memory cards just in case they’re mislaid in the postal system. Although we hope you’ll be happy to see your pictures included in the above restricted photo album, do please say if you have any objections to us using the pictures in this way or to us making any small edits.

We have just arrived in Stratford-Upon-Avon ready for Monday. Everything is more or less in place!
We came up last weekend also to collect the mens suits.
I picked up my dress in the middle of January after a few alterations. Had a good hen day in London involving a river cruise, Rock of Ages at the theatre and dinner.
So now its time to do any last minute preperations and try to relax!
Looking forward to it as well as a few nerves from us both!

It’s been a long time since Ben or I have updated our site. Seems like work has got in the way! However, with only 2 months to go, think wedding plans may become more and more into the frontline!

Lots has been going on behind the scenes. I have my first dress fitting on Thursday and our invitations have arrived today so they are going to be sorted and posted fairly soon. We have chosen what we would like to taste for our wedding tasting next week and are also going to visit the florists.

Come January, we have a meeting with the venue, cake creator, photographer, videographer and hope to organise mens wear fittings!

So things are beginning to get more and more sorted and think time is going to go by fairly quickly from now until the big day.

Dress update

My weekend in London was very successful. I have found a dress and also bought the shoes and my bridesmaids dresses. We didn’t think it was worth looking when there were becoming more and more options out of the shops we visited so went back to try on my preferred dress from one of the shops whilst we were altogether. Should be ready December for fittings! Think we know what we would like our two page boys to wear too.

In other news, we have arranged our wedding meetings and menu tasting at our venue for two dates in December and one in January.

Dress Shopping

I am getting ready for a busy weekend with my Mum and bridesmaids in London. Got appointments to go and get a feel for wedding dresses. Looked online and lots of possibilities so we will see what happens. Have a feeling it might be quite strange!

Engagement Ring

Ben picked up the official engagement ring which had been ordered, since they only had one in a larger size for the proposal.

Venturing to Warwickshire at the weekend and have a few appointments to view some of the venues there. All very exciting!

Last night Ben and I got back from three nights in Paris.
We had booked it three months ago but due to the recent engagement, was even more special.
Weather was great and had a lovely time seeing many more sites which we can now add to last years visit.
